Arts for the Arts was founded in 2010 as an informal association of creative artists looking for ways to help non-profit organizations struggling in difficult economic times as-well-as provide entertainment for the general public. Arts for the Arts members do not receive monetary compensation for their time, talent, commissions, royalties, etc.

Since its inception, Arts for the Arts has already produced or contributed time and/or resources to several events benefiting the arts including the Escondido Arts Partnership's first-ever live theater performance. The group even raised several thousand dollars for a worthy cause outside the arts: disaster relief in San Diego's North County. Its most recent project, an original adaptation of A Christmas Carol, was performed this past Christmas to sell-out audiences to benefit Escondido's venerable theater mainstay, Patio Playhouse.

All the Time in the World is at its heart a love story set against the backdrop of a lone man's struggle against powerful forces determined to manipulate his talent for their own gain. The mystery/drama, written and directed by Charles Carr, has a fast moving plot with Hitchcock-like suspense, twists, and surprises that entertains audiences and keeps them involved right until the end.

All the Time in the World was also performed in 2010 at the Maxine's Staples Center Theater (seen below). Over its six performance run, the production grossed nearly $10,000 with proceeds going to benefit disaster relief in San Diego's North County.
For both productions, talented San Diego artists created dozens of original pieces in the abstract style of the play's protagonist. The works are first used to dress the stage, set in an artist's studio, then auctioned for charity.

The writer/director, actors, and crew donated all fees, commisstions, and royalites.
